Patience.... What does it mean to be patient.... Waiting till lunch time so you can eat that delicious home made beef barley vegetable soup your grandma made? Waiting 60 minutes through a nail biting football game to be totally disappointed that the Packers are not going to the super bowl? Waiting 6 months for your birthday to get that new "thing" you want that just came out? Or could it be trying not to go insane banging your head against the car window as your 3 month old son cries and screams as loud as he can for almost the entire 1 hour 45 minute trip from Omaha to Sioux City? I think that may be the real definition of patience (anyone know how to contact Webster Dictionary to get that in there?) Yes, Noah cried that deep cry that comes from the bottom of his stomach, and then gains volume and decibels as it works its way up and out his mouth for almost the entire trip from Omaha to Sioux City. Both Maria and I had our iPods in, cranked up as loud as our ears could stand, and he was still cutting through. Then the little stinker thinks he is funny because when we got him out he started that cute "how could you not love me" smile. I'm a little worried for when he gets older if he still has this same stubbornness in him. He must get that from his mom. There are times like this when I wish I could be like a 2 year old. Kaili, sitting right next to him in the back of the car, slept the entire way up there. How they can tune that kind of noise out is beyond me. Our windshield has spider cracks in it now cause of Noah!
